What items are you requesting?
- Platinum longsword with blessing of Ireus. (assuming it has similar properties to silver, otherwise, a silver longsword.)
- Steel longsword with blessing of Ireus.
- Steel dagger, used more as a tool than a weapon.
- Full set of steel plate armour.
- Amulet of Itas, which would protect him from uncommon curses. It cannot be used to relieve any other person of their curse.
- Small amount of starting money, I'm not really all that fussed

Roleplay experiences? I have been roleplaying on Garry's Mod for a number of years now, administrating on a wide range of servers along the way. Most notably, I was a super admin on Atlas-5, leading the NCR faction. Though I have been involved in a large number of communities outside of that.

Why should you have all this? I've spoken to people that have played on the server and they mentioned that this type of character would be welcome. I plan on this character being a force for good on the server, and I believe I am someone who can be trusted with the gear and skills I'm applying for.

Backstory:

Born deep in the mountains, Luca was bred into an ancient order known as the 'Knights of Itas', dedicated to the worship of the aforementioned deity and the hunting of unholy forces throughout the land. His mother and father were both a part of this order, though soon after his birth he was taken from them to be raised under the watchful tutorship of monks and mentors. Throughout his childhood, he was taught basic literacy skills and anything else a well-off schoolboy would know, but his education covered other areas. A deep understanding of how to harness the power of holy magic was passed unto him and a strict code of morals was ingrained within his mind to ensure he didn't stray from the light. His martial ability was the final thing to be honed with lessons taking place every day and night to give him a deep understanding of the longsword and how to harness it in battle.

When he turned sixteen, the boy was considered to be a man and was finally sent out from the confines of the monastery, and into the harsh wilds of Ivera. Life in the monastery was hard, but it couldn't even begin to prepare him for the true reality of his position. His first real encounter was with a group of Koros worshipping necromancers. A group who were in the middle of a sacrificial ritual when the knights came across them. The necromancers fought tooth and nail with the paladins, going down to the last man before being pacified. Barely a man, Luca was exposed to things no boy his age should have to see. Such was the reality of life within his order. It felt like those within it aged quicker. There wasn't time for a real childhood, not when there was no many horrors in the world with so little being done about them. Luca was fortunate to have so many wise mentors within the order, giving him a strong sense of brotherhood and making sure he didn't lose hope. Even in the face of pure evil.

The years began passing and Luca's position had quite the toll on him, both physically and mentally. The once innocent boy had become a strong man. Despite the toll his experiences had on him, Luca never cracked. He didn't even show signs of cracking, not visibly anyway. The knight was as stoic as he was relentless, travelling from town to town and serving to purge it of any unholy presence. Never accepting money, one would think that living life like this would be difficult but it seemed as if the order he served were funded by a series of unnamed benefactors. It was clear that their work was appreciated, and it ensured that their men were equipped with the best gear possible, and given the best training money could buy. The order did have one problem though. Numbers within it were low, and as paladins died it took a long time to replace them. The group went through periods of low population more than a few occasions and it was not unknown for paladins to operate alone despite their reputation for serving as squads.

In the present day, the order were going through one of these periods of low population. Now thirty-four years old, Luca was sent out on his own in the name of Itas to serve his god as he saw fit. The morals instilled within Luca ran his entire way of life. He would never accept payment, only charity. He would never turn down those in need, regardless of who they were. Unless they supported unholy deeds, of course. Luca put his own spin on the order's code, in some areas. It seemed he had no issue wiping out bandits, raiders and other groups with no real affiliation to unholy beings. He simply deemed them to be immoral, and had no problem executing them in the name of Itas. Luca saw himself as a force for pure good, and would not rest until evil had been purged from Aecerium completely. A foolish notion, perhaps. But he didn't care, it was how he was raised and it would most likely be how he died.

Luca heard rumblings from the town of Silus. The most pressing of which were the rumours involving marauding skeletons. Being the righteous paladin he was, there was no way that Luca could allow this evil to go unchecked. So, he gathered his bearings and set off in the direction of this town. He wasn't completely sure of what he was getting into, but that never stopped him before and it certainly would not stop him now.

What are your characters' ambitions? Luca wishes to purge the land of all monsters and demons. A rather ambitious goal, but it is what the order he came from has ingrained within him. He has no desire for material goods, wealth or glory. Quite simply, he is a force for light and will give his life to protect innocents and wipe out all unholy entities.

What are your characters' perks/skills?
- Master swordsman.
- Impeccable physical condition.
- Master of holy morality magic.
- Expert in abjuration.

What are your characters' faults/flaws? Luca is fearless to a fault. He will run head first into almost certain death and try to overcome insurmountable odds unless persuaded to do otherwise. This could definitely lead to his death, as despite his skills, he is still but one man. Outside of his armour, he doesn't really have much in the way of protection against ranged attacks, no shield or anything in that regard to protect him.

Character Traits:
- Determined: Will always do everything in his power to complete a goal, especially those related to his order.
- Fearless: Never backs down from a fight, no matter how insurmountable the odds may seem.
- Religious: Dedicates himself to Itas.
- Benevolent: Helps others whenever he can. Whether that be by defending them from demons, or just doing small tasks on their behalf.

Character Age: 34

Character Race: Human

(Optional)Character Description: An imposing figure standing at a height of 6'2" with unkempt blonde hair and bright blue eyes. His facial features are angular with a thick beard adorning his sharp jawline. The paladin is clad head to toe in battle worn steel plate armour, the metal visage obscuring his face most of the time. He walks with a pompous swagger, head held high and hands clasped behind his back. There is a noticeable gouge across the chest plate of his armour, patched up in rather shoddy fashion. A hearty voice leaves his helmet whenever he speaks, almost always cheerful and full of life.

Roleplaying Examples:

Confrontation With a Vampire

**Luca Vitant looks up to the towering monolith of stone before him, the dark entrance of the temple beckoning him inside. Reaching to the amulet around his neck, the paladin took a firm grip and raised it to his mouth. A quiet prayer was muttered under his breath before he began stepping forth and into the gaping maw that awaited him.
Luca Vitant yells, "In the name of Itas, I have come for you demon! Reveal yourself, so we can end this!"
**What seems like a wave of black ink rolls down the staircase before Luca, slowly rising up a few feet in front of him before forming into the silhouette of a man. Once the black fades away, the unmistakable face of a vampire is revealed to the paladin. Pale skin, dead eyes, blood dripping from the corner of his lips. It was clear that he had fed recently, and the cover of night meant he was at the peak of his power.
**The Vampire wipes the blood from his mouth, slowly beginning to circle the knight as if sizing up his prey. "You were a fool to follow me here. Your order has no power within my domain, knight."
**Luca Vitant's fingers wrap around the hilt of his platinum sword before the blade is yanked free from its leather confines. The sound of metal on leather fills the air for a moment just before the knight takes grip of the weapon with both hands. "You're not the first of your kind to call me as such. They died just as you will."
**Leaving no more room for pleasantries, the vampire lunged forward and attempted to claw at the knight's neck with a wide swipe.
**Luca Vitant narrowly ducked under the vampire's hand, the razor sharp claws scraping across his helmet and causing sparks to fly in every direction. Trying to counter, Luca attempted to drive his weapon into the creature's abdomen.
**The Vampire had expected Luca's riposte, and instead opts to shoulder barge him before the weapon can connect.
**Luca Vitant is launched back several metres by the vampire's superhuman strength, his armour scaping across the stone before he slams to a halt against the wall. He wasted no time in recovering though, quickly clambering up to his feet and taking in a deep breath as he prepared for the vampire's next move.
**The Vamprie had already started rushing in Luca's direction from the moment he barged him. Once Luca has clambered up to his feet, the vampire attempts to send another swing in his direction. This time towards his chest.
**Luca Vitant manages to parry the vampire's claw to the side with the flat of his blade, attempting to bring the weapon back up to slice across the creature's torso.
**The Vampire attempts to dodge backwards to avoid the blade, though isn't quite that lucky. The tip of the weapon slices across his chest, sending his senses into overload as the platinum's effect courses through his system. Before Luca can press the attack, the creature fades back into darkness and slinks out of sight under the form he had taken upon the paladin's arrival.
**Luca Vitant's eyes dart around the room, steeling himself as he awaits for the vampire's return. There was sweat dripping down his skin as he readjusted his grip on his blade. He was never one to be afraid, though right now it was safe to say he was a little anxious.
**The Vampire would suddenly materialise behind Luca, sending vertical swipe for the knight's back from top to bottom while letting out a high pitched snarl.
**Luca Vitant turned around as he heard the creature behind him, though he was in no position to block the attack. Instead of hitting his back, the vampire's claws sliced down his chest plate, drawing blood and sending the knight crashing down onto his back. When he hit the ground, Luca began uttering a small prayer to himself, quickly scampering backwards as he stared up at his foe.
**The Vampire lunged forward to the downed Luca, both claws raised as he attempted to crash down upon the knight with all his force.
**Luca Vitant had just finished his prayer when the vampire's feet left the ground. Suddenly, an immensely bright light comes from Luca's body, bathing the entire room in his holy radiance in an attempt to ward the creature off.
**The Vampire hisses and rolls across the ground as the holy light penetrates him. It does nothing in the way of physical damage, but it is enough to throw him completely off balance and send his already alarmed senses into complete overload.
**Luca Vitant shakily gets up to his feet, stomping over to the stunned vampire and attempting to skewer its torso with the length of his platinum blade before it can get back up to its feet. He would let out something of a war cry as he did so, doing everything he could to ignore the shooting pains in his chest.
**The Vampire looked up to see the paladin's blade falling upon him. Unable to get away, the weapon was driven straight through his heart. The creature writhed in immense pain for a few seconds, swiping around wherever he could before finally it fell limp. It was dead.
**Luca Vitant drove the weapon in a few inches further for good measure before sliding it out. Injured from the battle, he fell onto his rear end and took in deep breaths to re-centre himself. Moments after whispering a healing spell to himself, the knight's wounds were closed shut almost instantaneously and he was once again in a position to get up and leave. Though not without a trophy. Luca approached the vampire's corpse and sliced through its neck, removing its head as a memoir of the battle before heading back off into the night.

You'll have to tone down your holy magic to an expert grade, though, as nobody is really allowed to start off as a master.
