Cas' Ritual Suggestions Empty Cas' Ritual Suggestions

Hello! I noticed that there is no place to post ritual ideas, if one is set up, I will move this stuff there, but for now here are some of my ideas. Feel free to add on, tweak, give criticism, etc. ADMIN AND GM INPUT IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

Common:


Lesser Ritual Grounds -
This ritual creates an area where any ritual that does not have specific ritual setting requirement can be cast.
1. Draw a 10 meter circle with arcane chalk.
2. Sprinkle 10 silvers worth of fine iron powder around the circumference of the circle.
3. Light a candle in the center of the circle.
4. The terrain in the circle becomes suitable for ritual casting. It does not change the terrain itself, (IE: difficult terrain remains difficult terrain). The ritual lasts 1 week, if the ritual ends while another ritual is taking place within the circle, the ongoing ritual fails. If the ritual is broken, all rituals cast within the circle end or fail.


Zone of Calm - 
This ritual creates a zone of comfortable conditions regardless of the weather or setting
1. Draw a circle at least 2 meters in diameter, to a maximum size of 10 meters in diameter with regular chalk, or if the terrain allows it, the circle may be drawn in the terrain (IE: draw a circle in mud or loose gravel). 
2. Spread wild flowers around the circumference of the circle.
3. Activate the ritual by replanting any magic plant in the center of the circle.
4. The area inside the circle exudes a pleasant and comfortable environment that lasts 8 hours. Any creature that resides in the circle for the duration of the ritual receives a +5 modifier to all wisdom rolls for the next 1 hour.


Uncommon:


Amplify Magic - 
A ritual used to amplify a specific school of magic's power in the affected area.
1. Draw a circle at least 1 meter in diameter, to a maximum size of 20 meters with arcane chalk.
2. Draw an arcane symbol for one school of magic that is 1 meter in diameter around the circumference of the first circle. (If the circle is 1 meter wide, the symbol is written in the center). The ritual will not work if more than one school of magic is symbolized. 
3. The soul of a medium sized creature (Wolf, Human, Pig, etc.) is required to activate the ritual.
4. The school of magic represented in the circle has a +20 modifier to being cast. The ritual has an effective range of the arcane circle, and x10 the diameter of the circle.


Animate Simple Golem -
This ritual allows the caster to create and animate a simple golem that they then have total control over. The Golem counts as a medium sized construct. The animated golem contains a medium sized soul for the purposes of ritual sacrifice.
1. Draw a triple (three circle) venn diagram, with each circle being at least 10 meters in diameter, with arcane chalk.
2. Label each of the rings with the arcane symbol for "Flesh", "Purpose", and "Soul"
3. Place 20 silver worth of metal, clay, or stone in the circle labeled "Flesh".
4. Place 20 silver worth of alchemical reagent, 20 silver worth of fine iron dust, or a non-magical sword worth at least 20 silver, in the circle labeled "Purpose".
5. To activate the ritual, the caster must sacrifice a creature with a medium sized soul in the circle labeled "soul".
6. The golem will then self assemble itself in the center of the venn diagram, consuming all of the items placed in the three circles, except for those being worn or wielded by the caster.
7. For the next five minutes, the caster may alter the appearance of the golem with their hands or with tools, the final appearance of the golem does not affect the functionality of the golem.
8. The golem is then telepathically bound to the caster, allowing the caster to command it if it is within 100 meters of the caster. The golem is unable to speak in any way, animated golems are immune to the affects of mind affecting psychic magic. The golem lasts 1 month, at the end of which will disintegrate, if the caster dies while the golem is still animated, the golem will carry out it's last given command before disintegrating, any and all items worn or carried by the golem are dropped upon disintegration. The caster can bond with only one golem at a time. If the caster attempts to perform the ritual again, the previous golem will disintegrate, and the new golem will form a bond with the caster. 


Types of animated golems:
Depending on what items were used during the sacrifice, the stats of the animated golem are affected. 
Flesh:
Clay: +15 endurance, +10 labor
Stone: +30 endurance,  +20 labor, +10 block
Iron: +45 endurance, +30 labor, +15 block


Purpose:
Alchemical Reagent: +20 Intelligent, +20 Medicine
Fine Iron Dust: +20 Endurance, +20 Labor
Non-Magical Sword: +20 Strength,  +20 Melee Accuracy, +20 Blade


(I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS A LONG AND COMPLICATED RITUAL, I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE ADMIN/GM INPUT ON THIS RITUAL SUGGESTION)


Rare: 


Agorin's Arcane Study -
This ritual allows the caster to study any number of books, scrolls, and texts and retain the knowledge learned with absolute clarity.
1. The setting of the ritual must be: dry, clean, and warm.
2. Draw three concentric rings spaced 1/2 a meter apart from each other, the largest ring must be at least 5 meters in diameter, with arcane chalk.
3. Place the materials you wish to study inside the innermost ring.
4. Place 25 gold worth of enchanted incense in the space between the middle ring and the innermost ring.
5. Sit in the innermost ring and recite the incantation to activate the ritual.
6. The ritual activates, the incense ignites instantly and the caster begins to read the texts around them with incredible speed, it will take them 1 hour to complete the ritual. If the ritual location does not fit all of the three criteria listed in step 1, the caster finishes the ritual having missed information, or learned the information incorrectly. When the ritual is complete, the caster is granted a +20 modifier to all intelligence rolls for one week. The caster will begin to feel fatigue and weakness if they attempt the ritual again within the next month.



Azora's Ball of Scrying -
A ritual used to scry upon any subject for 1 minute on the caster's current plane of existence. The caster can see the subject and the nearby surroundings area of the subject clearly.
1. Draw a circle using arcane chalk one meter in diameter.
2. Place a belonging of the subject you want to scry on (A lock of hair, a scrap of clothing, etc.).
3. Place a crystal sphere, or a pearl worth at least 50 gold, this acts as a focus for the ritual.
4. In the center of the circle. Inscribe three psychic runes. 

5. The ritual then activates, with the focus floating up to the caster's eye level. The focus becomes invulnerable for the duration of the ritual. The focus falls to the ground and shatters if the circles is broken before the ritual finishes.
